AI automation

Daily inbox assistant

Level: BeginnerSteps: 6Updated July 2026

In short

Instead of digging through your inbox every morning, you get a 5-point briefing with a to-do list: free of charge by pasting important emails into ChatGPT – or fully automatic via Make.com/Zapier, which reads your Gmail daily at 8 a.m. and sends the summary to Slack, Telegram or by email.

Free

  1. Collect and copy the important emails of the day.
  2. Paste them into ChatGPT.
  3. Have a briefing plus to-dos generated.
Example prompt

Here are my emails from today: [TEXTS]. Create a short morning briefing (max. 5 points) and a to-do list with clear tasks from it.

Limits: Manual gathering of the emails.

Premium / Automated

  1. Set up a daily scenario, e.g. at 8:00.
  2. It fetches new and important Gmail messages automatically.
  3. AI creates a briefing plus to-dos and sends it to Slack, Telegram or by email.
Example prompt

Here are my emails from today: [TEXTS]. Create a short morning briefing (max. 5 points) and a to-do list with clear tasks from it.

Added value: Fully automatic briefing right on time for the start of the day.

Frequently asked questions

What does the briefing actually give me?

An overview in two minutes instead of twenty: yesterday's most important messages as bullet points plus a ready-made task list. You start the day with priorities instead of working through your inbox.

Can I control which emails end up in the briefing?

Yes. In the automated variant you filter by label, sender or keyword (e.g. only "Important" or only client emails). That keeps the briefing short and relevant instead of summarising every newsletter.

Do I need Slack or is email enough?

Email is completely sufficient – the briefing can send itself as an email. Slack or Telegram are just more convenient if you work there anyway and see notifications faster.
